ULP Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Untangled Technologies Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and shares information through the Untangled Logistics Platform ("ULP") at ulpfreight.com and related apps (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

ULP is in beta. How we handle information may change as the Service develops, and we will update this policy when it does.

2. Information we collect

You give us:

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password, and job title.
  • Company details: USDOT and MC numbers, company role, and documents you upload, such as W-9s, certificates of insurance, and authority letters.
  • Identity verification: if you verify your identity, a third-party provider collects your ID document and face images. We receive the result and the details needed to show it.
  • Activity: loads, offers, bids, messages, and other content you create on ULP.
  • Messages you send us, such as support requests.

We collect automatically:

  • Log and device data: IP address, browser, device, pages used, and times of access, for security, fraud prevention, and audit records.
  • Cookies: a secure login cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

From other sources:

  • Public FMCSA and DOT records about companies, such as authority, registration, insurance filings, and safety data.
  • Other users, such as a company admin confirming your membership.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and run your account and the Service.
  • Verify companies, people, and company memberships.
  • Send verification codes and service messages by email or SMS.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and keep audit records.
  • Respond to you, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations.
  • Understand and improve the Service.

4. What other users see

ULP is built so users know who they are dealing with. Other users can see your profile, your company profile, your verification status, your company memberships and work history on ULP, and the loads and offers you post. Documents a company uploads are visible as shown in the Service. Contact details you add to your profile may be visible to other users.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only:

  • With service providers that run parts of the Service for us, such as cloud hosting, email and SMS delivery, maps and address lookup, and identity verification. They may use it only to provide those services.
  • With other users, as described in section 4.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.
  • In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
  • With your consent.

We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.

Your information is stored and processed in the United States.

6. Retention

We keep information while your account is active and as long as needed to run the Service. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information. We keep what we need for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, and disputes, and the records of company memberships and work history that our Terms say stay on ULP.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

8. Your choices

  • You can view and update most of your information in your profile.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by emailing support@ulpfreight.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. Contact us to use them.

9. Age

The Service is for adults using it for business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new effective date. For material changes, we will also notify you through the Service or by email.
